Shalli Tibba Day Hike Tour Details
Just whiskers away from Shimla Lies the Quaint Little Village of Khatnol. The Village is set in a beautiful location with the Shalli Peak Dominating the Skyline. The Hike to Shalli Tibba Starts from here, we walk up through a Lush Green Dense Alpine Forest with Cheer, Blue Pine,Devdar, Spruce Pine, Gray and Golden Oaks, Cyprus and Many more trees. The Summit offers a 360 Degree View of Himalayas from Dhauladhar Ranges in Kangra Region to Pir Panjal in Kullu Region. One can see the Entire Range of Great Himalayan National Park and Himalayan Ranges of Spiti, Kinnaur & Uttrakhand including Peaks like Swagarohni,Bandarpoonch from Yumnotri Massif. The Hike can be done year round with Winter Hike in Snow Making it all the more intersting

Day 01: Shimla - Khatnol - Hike to Shalli Peak - Khatnol - Shimla
We start early in the morning from Shimla and Leave for Khatnol at around 7 Am, the 2 Hour Drive will take us to Khatnol Village. The drive takes us through some of the less visited areas of Shimla after Baldeyan. We begin our ascent around 9:30 Am. The climb is gradual and winds up the mountain covered with dense Forest. The trails is steep at sections but is gradual most of the way. On the way we come across a small meadow beyond which first of the glimpses of the Himalayan Ranges comes. We halt a bit at Shalli Ghat and then begin climb from here another 30 to 45 Mins we find ourselves at the Summit of this 9400 Feet Peak. We visit the temple dedicated to Goddess Kali Mata (Shalli Mata) and feast our eyes on the breathtaking views that the peak has to offer. We spend sometime here and eat our packed lunches before we began our descent towards Khatnol We reach Kahtnol between 4:00 or 5:00 Pm, board our transport for our Journey back to Shimla. The Hike ends with Drop at Shimla.
